I am a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Translation and Language Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), in the GLiF (Formal Linguistics Research Group), the LSC-Lab (Laboratori de la llengua de signes catalana) and Infolex (in the Institut de Lingüística Aplicada). My research and teaching interests focus on morphology, terminology and neology, both in spoken and sign languages.
My PhD research focuses on simultaneous and sequential derivation in LSC. Some of the research questions are: What is the behaviour of prefixes and suffixes in LSC? How do simultaneous morphemes work? How do we distinguish compounding from derivation in sign language?
Currently I also collaborate with the IEC (Institut d'Estudis Catalans) for the creation of the LSC corpus, specifically, with the horizontal and vertical review of the glossing.
As a translator and interpreter (EN-CAT/ES and CAT/ES-LSC) I also participate in different projects of the LSC-Lab (interpreting, translating and subtitling). You can check my projects, collaborations and publications here .
I am also working on a personal project to disseminate sign languages and linguistics in an accessible way on my blog.
